Across the US, there is a gap in the services available for elders and people with disabilities, specifically within transportation. This is where PiCC™ really can fill a gap and provide these essential services to our older population. This article is an example of some of the ways people have had to find their own transportation to medical appointments. The man in the article relies on taxi services to take him to and from his medical appointments. The state of North Carolina has recently proposed a brokerage system, which would result in less than adequate care for our seniors. Read more HERE.
